Scotch Whisky Heritage Center Edinburgh
Right next to Edinburgh Castle, the Scotch Whisky Heritage Center is a favorite to all who enjoy this ancient drink. This interactive attraction allows visitors to experience all of the aspects of the production of Scotch Whisky, and also gives extensive background and history on it.

Dating back to at least the 15th Century, Whisky is known worldwide as a favorite drink of the Scots. The Center's model Distillery details how the drink is made, and its guides will show you every fascinating aspect of the process. You will also learn about the different Whisky-producing regions in Scotland, and how the product they each make differs in taste.

Those who are familiar with and enjoy the taste of Whisky will find the former Master Blender's 'Ghost' lesson on Whisky especially helpful, as it details the ways that the drink is best enjoyed and mixed. Finally, have a meal of traditional Scottish fare in the Amber Restaurant, and try some of the 250 different types of Whisky they have in stock.

The Scotch Whisky Heritage Center is open from 9:30am to 6:30pm, seven days a week.
